When the gas prices started to fall this year, Bob suggested that we take advantage of the days left on our Disney passes. So, we decided to go to WDW for a day and enjoy all of the Christmas festivities. Rachel came home on Saturday, December 20th and we left on the 21st. We arrived at the Animal Kingdom on Tuesday, December 22nd at 7:45 am and had a great time. We were back home on December 23rd in time to get everything ready for Christmas! I hope you enjoy the pictures. One of my favorite new things that we saw was the 2 story gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. It was amazing!
The Magic Kingdom was great, but really cold. Below 4o degrees. We bought Santa Mickey hats because we were freezing. They were also on sale. Rob got his 15 minutes of fame as "That Guy" at the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Here's a photo of him signing autographs for a couple of young fans after the show.
Of course every trip includes much texting.
Rachel was sad that she missed Neil Patrick Harris at the American Pavilion.
We had a great time at cruising the World Showcase. We arrived early enough to line up to ride Soarin' and get a Fastpass for later!
We went to the Animal Kingdom where Rachel and Rob rode Expedition Everest twice while Bob and I checked some things out.
Here are some photos from our dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.
Happy 16th Birthday to Rob! He enjoyed the day with friends, his new Ibanez guitar and Beaufort High School Class Ring! We will continue the celebration this weekend as we head to Disney World for a little pre-Christmas family road trip with Rachel. I promise to post more during the Holidays.
Happy Birthday to Rachel!!! 23 years old!!! It's the first birthday that she's spent away from us and we all miss her much. Have a great day, Rachel and we'll see you very soon.
Love and Kisses,
Mom
Happy Spring to All!
I was taking a break at work, and looked out the window, and this blue heron had camped out at our pond. I thought that it was cool, after it scared the crap out of me when it flew across to the other side.
Happy Birthday to my BFF, Donna! Here's a really poor quality photo from when we were in Middle School. We haven't changed a bit!
